Neel Shah, MD, RAC – Vice President, Regulatory Affairs

Neel Shah has a diverse professional background that began in academia, where he earned his MD in Pharmacology in 2015. His education included a focus on clinical research, biotechnology, and toxicology, leading to various publications and earned him a gold medal. From 2015 to 2018, he shifted to medico-marketing in Mumbai, working with both local and multinational companies, such as Abbott.

After relocating to Canada, he took on the role of a clinical research assistant in contract research organizations (CROs) that specialized in bioequivalence studies. During this time, he also pursued certification in regulatory affairs at Humber College (again, a class topper). For the past five years, he has served as a regulatory consultant, focusing on natural health products, medical devices, cosmetics, and over-the-counter drugs. His expertise includes developing robust strategies for compiling safety and efficacy evidence, product classification and licensing, which facilitates clients’ entry into the Canadian market.
